A very drunk Colonel

Roy sat at the bar. He was drunk, and it was obvious. He was swaying in his seat as he asked for another beer. His words came out slurred, and it sounded like "Gimmie a'other bear!"

Lientra, already seated at one end of the bar, glanced over to him. "Oh no." She muttered, recognizing the colonel from the Central headquarters. She looked to the barkeeper, a doubtful look on her face as she mouthed, "Don't give him any more."

Roy hiccuped. "Heyyy," He said, "I want mere bear!!"

Lientra stood, walking toward Roy and taking a seat next to him. "Hey there Colonel." She said, giving a small salute and leaning on the bar. "I'm not sure you should be having any more. What are you doing in here anyway? Shouldn't you be working?"

Roy stared at her blankly. "No," he said slowly, "I'm off right now..."

She nodded, pulling her legs up to sit cross-legged on the bar stool. "You should still stop with the beer now--you'll have one hell of a hangover in the morning." She said, chuckling.

He shook his head. "Whyzitmatter?"

Lientra frowned at him. "It's my job as a specialist of the military to make sure that your performance is not effected." She sighed, muttering to herself, "Sometimes it's almost like babysitting..." Then she looked back to him, a smirk stretching across her lips. "And if you have a hangover, I'll tell Riza. Make sense?"

Roy's eyes widened with fear. "N-no! Peaze, whataver ya do, don't tell her! Shhe..shhe'll kill me!" He wimpered softly.

Lientra chuckled. "Yes, exactly why you should not have another beer. Maybe just some water for now?" She suggested, smiling lightly.

Roy nodded reluctantly. "F-fine."

"Good." She said, nodding. She leaned forward to rest her arms on the bar. "What brings you here, anyway?"

Roy hiccuped and shrugged. "I always come here in Tuesday." It was Thursday.

"Er, Colonel?" Lientra asked softly. "It's not Tuesday. It's thursday. And are you absolutely sure that you have the day off?" She asked.

"Thursday?" Roy asked voice trailing off. "I don't know..."

Lientra raised an eyebrow. "Oh dear." She sighed. "Well, since you're here anyway, how's life at head quarters? I haven't been by lately."

Roy shrugged. "There's too much...paperwork."

She laughed. "Yeah, paperwork's evil and all, but who else is going to do it?" She asked, grinning. "Anything for me to do around there? For a specialist, I don't have many assignments."

Roy smirked. "Well, if you get bored, I'd be happy to share my paperwork with you..."

She laughed again. "No, thank you." She paused. "So, no new Homunculi activity? It would be nice to get out of the city for a while, and being out in the field sounds great right about now." She admitted, grinning.

Roy shrugged. "I haven't heard about it if there is. It would be fun to be doing something right now though," he added.

"Exactly." She agreed, chuckling. "But what is there to do?"

Roy smirked again. "As I said before, you can always help with my paperwork..."

She smirked. "I'm not quite bored enough to take you up on that offer, but thanks."

Roy yawned. "Too bad," he muttered, "I guess I'm stuck with it for now." He streached his arms and looked around the bar. It was nearly empty...
